Samuel Cramer, M.D.

Vice President, Clinical Programs

Samuel Cramer, M.D. is responsible for the oversight and development of HMC’s clinical programs, as well as the company’s external physician relations initiatives. His responsibilities also include enhancing and developing HMC programs such as disease management, wellness and prevention, maternity, health advocacy/coaching, lifestyle management and the 24/7 NurseLine.

Before moving to the managed care industry, Sam practiced internal medicine for 20 years. He also has held various medical staff appointments including vice-chairman of the department of internal medicine and vice-chief of staff and chairman of quality assurance at Community Hospitals Indianapolis.

Sam earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
